Today in class we took our test on Greece. We were aloud to use our blogs but nothing else. Then once we were finished we read pages 134-141 out of the textbook and had to take notes. It explained that 50 years later Athens experienced a growth in intellectual and artistic learners. There was a man named Pericles who ruled for 32 years and was a skillful politician and inspiring speaker and repeated general. Athens had 3 goals that they wanted to accomplish. Goal 1 was to strengthen the Athenian democracy. The second goal was to hold and strengthen the empire. The third and finally goal was to glorify Athens. In a direct democracy the citizens ruled. The Athens Navy was very strong and the Spartan Army was very strong. The greeks created the first theater that used colorful costumes, masks, and dramatic sets. Then Athens and Sparta goes to war. Then class was over and we left and we don't have school on Monday and we need to bring out notebooks to class on Tuesday.
